UP ALL NIGHT
NEW SINGLE FROM CHRISTIE LAMB
FEAT. TIMOTHY JAMES BOWEN
Golden Guitar and CMC Award Winner Christie Lamb releases duet with ‘The Voice’ finalist Timothy James Bowen.
After hearing Tim’s soulful voice on ‘The Voice’ in 2020, Christie thought the two of them would sound great together and reached out to Tim to set up a co write.
Tim travelled up from his Ulladulla home to Sydney to pen the song with Christie and Jonathan English.
“The write was in the middle of recording my next album and I just wanted to see how Tim and I would work together. I already had what I thought was my final track listing, so there wasn’t any pressure on the session. At the end of the day, Tim and I thought we had written something that had great potential. We sent an acoustic work tape that afternoon to my producer who insisted it should be added to the project.”
Christie and her producer Stuart Stuart (Sheppard, Dean Lewis, Amber Lawrence) recorded the single remotely. With border closures in place, the Brisbane based producer sent the studio recording equipment down to Christie to allow remote recording from Christie’s Sydney home. Again Tim made the trip to Sydney to add his vocals to the track.
“Up All Night is about a new relationship. It’s just at the point where you can’t stop thinking of the other person, keeping you up all night”.
The music video was directed and produced by Brock Daubert from ‘Bearbones Studios’.
“With restrictions constantly changing we decided to shoot the clip locally. Half of the clip is set in a hotel room and the other half in ‘The Dove And Shears’ at Campbelltown.
Luckily we filmed it ahead of schedule and had the clip ready to go before the NSW hard lockdown was enforced.”
Although Christie is currently in Sydney’s lockdown and can’t get to the four festivals and tour dates she had planned for the second half of 2021, she is more excited than ever to get back on the road for a bigger and better 2022.
Christie is very excited to release ‘Up All Night’ and see out the rest of the year finalizing her next album.
