Golden Guitar and CMC Award Winner Christie Lamb releases her final single ‘Old Country Soul’ from her ARIA #1 Country Album ‘Broken Lines’.

 

“Old Country Soul is about being proud of your roots and loving the simple things in life.

It is undeniably a modern country song with it’s heartfelt and earthy lyrics, but true to it’s title, it’s got a laid-back and soulful influence too.”

 

The music video was directed and produced by Duncan Toombs from ‘The Filmery’.

It was shot entirely in Christie’s hometown of Camden at the picturesque ‘Gledswood Homestead and Winery’.

 

“I wanted to stay true to my country roots for this one and show what my hometown has to offer. We filmed out at Gledswood Homestead and the location for the clip couldn’t have been more perfect. Built in 1810, Gledswood is a treasured part of Australia’s heritage.”

 

Christie travels to Nashville on a regular basis and was booked with Soundmart Tours as a tour guide for CMA Festival 2020.  She had a huge trip planned for this year and was invited to perform on the CMA Global Stage and represent Australia.   She was also booked to perform at a few writers’ nights around town, along with her songwriting sessions.   These plans have now been locked in and confirmed for next year, all going well with travel restrictions.

 

After a great start to the year with Christie’s biggest Tamworth Festival turn out to date, there were further ‘Backroad Nation’ shows with Lee Kernaghan and The Wolfe Brothers locked in and plans for Christie’s own follow up tour later in the year. These plans have now had to be put on hold for the moment until venue restrictions are lifted.

 

Christie can’t wait to get back out on the road with her own band as soon as possible and celebrate what is her 15th Country Radio single.

 

In the meantime, look out for Christie’s “Old Country Soul” mini series kicking off on Monday night across her YouTube and social media pages.  Christie will be interviewing all your favourite country music artists, some of which include Lee Kernaghan, Adam Harvey, Catherine Britt and MANY other special surprise guests.
