Carry You With Me by Christie Lamb in memory of Jon English

Golden Guitar and CMC Award Winner singer/songwriter Christie Lamb releases her most heartfelt single yet in memory of the late, great Jon English.

‘Carry You With Me’ was written by Christie Lamb, Jonathan English and Victoria Banks and is the third single to be lifted from the ARIA chart-topping album ‘Broken Lines’.

“I first met Jon in 2012 and toured throughout 2012 and 2013 as part of his national ‘Rock Revolution Tour’.  I also met my now fiancé Jonathan English on the tour and he has been involved in my band, touring and co writing with me since then.

After Jon passed in 2016, Jonathan and I wanted to write a personal tribute to him to share our memories of the man we knew behind the dark eyes. I think he would give this song the thumbs up. Being a songwriter himself he would love the fact that it can relate to the memory of anyone we have loved and lost.”

The touching music video was directed and produced by Duncan Toombs from The Filmery. The clip was filmed in Glenorie at ‘Chummery Farm’, a place that holds a lot of childhood memories for Jonathan and his father.

“We are so proud of the song and video clip, it has a lot of personal footage and photos of Jon and we hope he would be proud of what we have created.”

2019 was a benchmark year for Christie with the #1 single “Hot Hot Kiss” paving the way for the #1 ARIA Country album “Broken Lines”.  The second single “You Brought The Party”, a duet with US rising star Drew Baldridge, became an instant fan favourite.  A highlight for Christie was touring during the year as part of Lee Kernaghan’s “Backroad Nation” tour, which won her a legion of new fans.

2020 is lining up to be a huge year for Christie and Jonathan both personally and professionally.  Alongside planning their upcoming wedding after 7 years together, they will also be returning to Nashville on a writing trip, in addition to further shows as part of the ‘Backroad Nation’ tour.
